Enrolment at Sustainable Play
We provide care for children aged 2-6. We encourage waitlist applications, discuss enrolments and offer Preschool tours for children under 2, but they cannot have their first day of Preschool until they turn 2.
To discuss enrolling your child casually or permanently for the remainder of 2025, please contact us. Currently, we have limited availability as families relocate or change their schedules.
For 2026 enrolments*, begin the process by joining our waitlist. You are welcome to contact us by email or phone to discuss any of your child’s unique needs, questions and concerns. Please include any pertinent information on the waitlist form.
We encourage all families to book a preschool tour to come visit us, see our learning environments, our philosophy in action and ask questions. We have limited availability remaining for 2025.
*Enrolment offers depend on preschool availability and the Australian Government’s ‘Priority of Access’ guidelines, detailed in our Family Handbook.

Preschool orientations
We recommend that families schedule at least 3 orientations with their child. During orientations, you and your child can familiarise yourselves with our learning environments and there’s an opportunity for your child to get to know their primary educator prior to their first day. Your child starts to acclimate to preschool with you present, supporting their exploration of learning spaces and interaction with educators.
Educators will fill out an orientation questionnaire with you during the orientation to confirm and gather any extra information about your child’s home life and routine, preferences, etc.

Fees + Child Care Subsidy
Included in our daily fees are all your child’s meals for the day: morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon snack. We also provide sunscreen and wet wipes. Nappies, bedding, hats and changes of clothing are to be provided by the family, however we do have spares if they run out or are forgotten. View our fee and session structure here. Enrolled families will choose a session on enrolment.
Families who are eligible can make a claim for the Child Care Subsidy via Centrelink. Estimate your family’s Child Care Subsidy entitlements with the Care for Kids’ Child Care Subsidy calculator.

Our Plant-Based Nutrition Program
We proudly provide an award-winning, delicious plant-based menu for our preschoolers, all included in the daily fee. Our Preschool Cook prepares food fresh onsite daily. Read more about our food and nutrition program here. Our team will work with your family to develop plans for any allergies and intolerances.

Sun + Bug Safety
We provide suncream for children and assist them in routine applications throughout the day. We ask that parents apply in the morning and tick that as completed when they sign their child in via OWNA. We also apply insect repellant as needed, depending on the season. If you would like to bring your own brand of suncream or insect repellant, you may do so – it’s as simple as providing it and completing a form in OWNA.
We have achieved our SunSmart certificate from the Cancer Council NSW to acknowledge our policy and practices around reducing the risks of skin damage and sun cancer.

OWNA App
We use the OWNA app to share learning stories about your child, post news to our preschool families, notify you of your child’s eating and rest information from their day and more. On OWNA you are able to sign permission forms, post messages to our staff and view our preschool policies. It’s a one-stop shop for communication between you and us regarding your child and your family’s experience at Sustainable Play.
We are highly active on our app and our educators enjoy having a medium on which to share in detail your child’s experiences and learning journey with you – they love seeing your comments and feedback too.
